About Us

Basketball IQ Academy, (BIQA), is basketball skills development and program using innovative training methods for players of all ages and skill levels. We successfully educate coaches who participate in the Learning-by-Doing program thanks to which achieved great success in working in clubs and national teams.

So, throughout the season, during the winter and summer camp, BIQA’s mission is educate players and coaches by teaching and showing how objective training and feedback can increase performance. Our staff will evaluate a player’s game and coaching job, offer precise and specific suggestions for modification that allow the athlete to grow and see tangible results at game time. It is our goal to improve players’ fundamentals, to develop the skills, character, to develop basketball intelligence and thus increase confidence making the transition from good to great.

This program was created by Coach Srdjan Riki Antic, FIBA Expert, the Basketball IQ Academy co-founder and manager of the project. The creator of this project currently has 37 years of Basketball training experience. Skills honed under the biggest coaching names as prof. Aleksandar Nikolic, Dusko Vujosevic, Zeljko Obradovic, Dusan Ivkovic, Slavko Trninic, Ranko Zeravica, Gregg Popovich, Mike Krzyzewski, etc. This idea originated in 1990 with the establishment of RBS (Riki’s Basketball School), the company for services in sports and physical culture and the first private club in the former Yugoslavia. Experience later developed in Spain and Portugal, and is now in a new form, adjusted to modern trends.

Coach Riki is originally from Belgrade, Serbia. He played at Partizan Belgrade where, after the early termination of his playing career due to injury continued coaching career. As a result of his outstanding achievements on the court, he won numerous Championships and Cups in Europe, Africa and Asia, as well as a personal awards as the best coach of the championship. However, the most satisfied with the creation of numerous young players who successfully play in their clubs and national teams, and some of them in the NBA.

It is significant that indicate an important role in the creation of successful coaches also. Learning-by-Doing program had its precursor. Several of his assistant coaches successfully continued his career as head coach and also won trophies.

Currently, while simultaneously managed the Basketball IQ Academy, Coach Riki teaches as an FIBA Expert in Development Plan Coaching Program by Central Board of FIBA Asia coordinated with FIBA World Sport and Development Department.

Therefore, this project offers the possibility that the players and coaches individually participate in the work, but also the possibility that Clubs and National Teams to collectively participate in the training program or preparation for certain competitions.
